Renishaw introduces PH20 PLUS 5-axis touch-trigger system with 300 mm inspection reach

The PH20 PLUS 5-axis touch-trigger system for co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs) is being introduced by Renishaw to replace its established PH20 head. It offers over 50% increase in inspection reach over the original head, which will improve access to features deep inside parts and in hard-to-access areas. The new PH20 PLUS system builds on the proven measurement capabilities of the PH20, enabling high-speed touch-trigger measurement across a wider range of applications.

Renishaw helps Cookson Industrial make world’s most expensive metal viable for additive manufacturing

Using precious metals in additive manufacturing (AM) provides new ways to utilise these materials' unique properties. However, the high cost of these metals means that large-scale production is often beyond the reach of many manufacturers. To address this challenge, Renishaw helped precious metal AM pioneers, Cookson Industrial, succeed in making the production of platinum rhodium parts for industry commercially viable.
