FAQ

If the app won’t open

My Mac says Apple cannot check it for malicious software

That’s how macOS greets apps downloaded outside the App Store. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security (on macOS 12: System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General) and click “Open Anyway” next to Sensever. Or Control-click Sensever in Applications, choose Open and confirm. You only need to do this once.

My Mac says the software needs to be updated, or that it can’t be opened

Remove the quarantine flag from the app: open Terminal (Applications → Utilities), paste this command and press Return:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Sensever.app

Then open Sensever again.

My Mac says the app needs macOS 13 or later

The main version of Sensever runs on macOS 13 and later. There’s a separate version for macOS 12 Monterey: delete the installed app and download this one.

Version for macOS 12 Monterey

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”

Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Windows shows this window for apps that few people have installed so far.

The app says “The international server is unavailable”

Your connection to sensever.com is being blocked. Click “Switch to the server in Russia” — it’s the same Sensever through our server in Russia. Sign in once, and from then on the app picks the available server by itself.
